Star of Lion Dojo 獅子之星道場

Posted in Events on December 22nd, 2011 by admin

The Star of Lion Dojo 獅子之星道場 is established by Senpai Ali Al-Manaseer 2nd dan as a member of the Kuwait Federation of Kyokushin Karate and the International Federation of Karate (Kyokushin)

獅子 (shishi) meaning a lion.
星( hoshi) meaning star.
之(no) meaning ~of.

The Star of Lion dojo logo has in its center a warrior lion with a star. This lion symbol is taken from the name of the dormitory for the young Kyokushin it was called 若獅子寮 (waka shishi ryou) that translates into “young lion domitory” who after years of blood, sweat and tears in training became stars of kyokushin.

We would like to thank Sensei Yuki Yamamoto from Japan for their assistance and providing us with the Japanese translation.
